Start of a Noisy Season

Winters can be harsh

and cruel for those who suffer.

Its ending is a relief to many,

when the sun breaks through

and starts warming the earth.

Touched by its rays

the crocuses comes to life,

peeking above the grass

with their elegant heads

seeing the world in hiding.

Among the first to flower in the field,

they feel colourful and pretty, pretending

they are the best universe can provide.

They laugh and shout, and

feel admired by mankind.
