Balance

A garden is so much more than a collection of plants, trees, lawns and paths. In, on and under these parts, a lot is going on. The birds, insects and butterflies, small mammals above ground, and under the surface a rich soil population, both small and bigger. We always try to find a balance between what benefits the collection and nature, do justice to all ‘inhabitants’of our garden.

History

This garden has a rich history, a history we cannot and must not forget. From the emergence of the ‘Wageningse Berg’, to an estate, and now as a botanic garden: a rich history of the place, its use and its design.

Maintenance

This garden needs maintenance, the collections need looking after, your safety is another important aspect. To that purpose, a large group of people work in this garden. In addition to the input of professionals, a large number of volunteers work here. All of them together keep this garden in fine condition.
